ACNA was formed in 2005 with these Aims and Objectives:- To promote, through every means, the Christian foundation and Christian heritage of Australia as a Christian Nation – as Sir John Downer stated, when the Australian Constitution was finally adopted, ‘Our Australian Commonwealth from its first stage will be a Christian Commonwealth’.
- To protect Australia as a Christian Nation in all its institutions, including Parliament, Schools, Media, etc.
- To protect the rights and privileges of all Christians, Christian churches and Christian schools.
- To resist any attempt to promote or implement an Islamic Republic on Australia, with Islamic Shari’a laws or courts, etc.
- To promote harmony, good will and respect amongst all Christian churches and religions.
- To organise and promote public events in support of Australia remaining a Christian Nation, with approximately 70% of our present population claiming to be Christian.
Is Australia A Christian Nation? ! --- YES ---! These are the reasons:- 70% of our population claim to be Christian
- Our Australian Constitution states:
“Whereas the people of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and Tasmania, humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God, have agreed to unite in one indissoluble Federal Commonwealth under the Crown of the Queen of Australia (as from 1973) and under the Constitution hereby established”. - Our Federal and State Parliaments start with Christian Prayers:
“Almighty God, we humbly beseech Thee to vouchsafe Thy blessing upon this Parliament. Direct and prosper our deliberations to the advancement of Thy glory, and the true welfare of the people of our State and Australia. Amen.” And the Lord’s Prayer, “Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the Glory forever. AMEN.” - Our First Federal Parliament opened on 9th May 1901 with Christian Prayers led by the Governor-General and the singing of the hundredth Psalm (Psalm 100).
